Huanchaco Hostal feels more like a cozy budget motel than a traditional hostal, nestled right in the Plaza de Armas. I stayed for six nights, enjoying a comfortable room with a quality mattress and glorious hot showers-hard to come by in Peru! Lucia, the main host, is a gem, helping us negotiate prices and even arranging the best local tours. One highlight for me was the inviting outdoor pool and terrace, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with friendly service and a convenient location for a beach getaway, I'd highly recommend it. Just be ready for the café to open a bit late in the morning!
